our work

Slate is an unique experience conceived by a small creative team that sees the world a little bit differently. Slate strives to bring back life to objects once forgotten and present them with a fresh and at times functional purpose. This art form first used in 1937 is known as object trouvé, meaning "a natural or discarded object by chance and held to have aesthetics value this has existed for over one hundred years and has since nearly vanished. Pablo Picasso and Marcel Duchamp were the first to use this style of expression. In a world of mass production, waste and uniformity Slate shows the alluring appeal of once abandon objects that will expand the horizon of your imagination and encourage you to view all that you see with a youthful and an unspoiled mind.
